Julie Masci  – Director and Dietitian

BHlthSc (Nut & Diet) (Hons), APD, AN

Julie Masci is a practising dietitian, accredited with the Dietitians Association of Australia. She is the director and principal of New Life Nutrition, a Brisbane-based private dietitian practice.

With Italian blood pumping through her veins, food has always been a major focus in Julie’s life – embarking on a career in nutrition and dietetics seemed only natural. Julie believes everyone should have the opportunity to experience the pleasures of food, while also staying healthy, and looking and feeling great.

Julie works to provide realistic diet and lifestyle changes to assist in weight loss for people of all ages, and to manage associated chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. Throughout her career as a dietitian, Julie has worked with a wide range of doctors and specialists, finely tuning her knowledge and expertise in health improvement.

Julie’s special interest in gastrointestinal disorders (including irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS) and food intolerance stems from her own personal experiences in this area. She aims to help clients identify and manage individual food sensitivities using proven techniques. Julie strongly believes that relief from long-standing food-related symptoms can improve a patient’s understanding and appreciation of both their body and their mind.

Appearing on Brisbane’s televisions as an expert dietitian on Channel 9 News, Channel 7 News, Today Tonight and Brisbane Extra, Julie explains nutrition and helps debunk diet myths. She also has extensive experience as a public speaker, engaging seminar and lecture audiences in conversations about obesity, diabetes and coeliac disease. Julie is a regular contributor to the Australian Weight Watchers Magazine.

Her work with aged-care facilities has helped ensure residents’ meals are appropriate and nutritionally adequate, and intensive individual product analysis has allowed Julie to provide her nutritional endorsement to many food companies.

With an appreciation of culture and individuality, as well as a contagious enthusiasm for good food, Julie brings a fresh approach to the field of nutrition and dietetics. She strives to motivate and provide friendly guidance to her patients as they move towards achieving their individual health and nutrition goals. Julie passionately believes every patient’s outlook on and approach to life can be improved by what and how they eat, and she will stop at nothing to ensure her patients’ continued success, health and happiness.

Jarrah Curry – Dietitian

BHlthSc (Nut & Diet) (Hons), APD, AN

Jarrah is committed to offering all patients individualised, patient-centered care using diet to create positive health outcomes.

Jarrah has worked in private practice for the last four years after completing her studies at QUT. Whilst working in private practice, Jarrah gained extensive experience in chronic disease management, weight-loss and lap band, and gastrointestinal conditions. Her passion for dietetics lies in food allergy and intolerance management, women’s health, metabolic illness and vegan/vegetarian diets.

On a personal note Jarrah is a born and bred Queenslander, who loves all things food including cooking, baking, eating out and going to farmers markets. She also has an adventurous side and can often be spotted scaling a cliff or a rock-climbing wall in her spare time.

Jarrah is the dietitian that visits our Coorparoo and Springwood clinics.


Louisa Stephens – Dietitian

Louisa earned her Masters of Dietetics at the University of Queensland and has since worked as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) in Brisbane. She has a special interest in food allergies, intolerances and sensitivities and other gastrointestinal disorders. Her personal experience sparked her interest in the management of food allergy and intolerances and has given her first hand experience in the difference dietary change can make to quality of life. Louisa is passionate about paediatric and maternal health and works to support families in building healthy foundations
for life.

She is experienced in the dietary management of diabetes, fatty liver, heart disease and weight loss and works to implement sustainable changes for healthy lifestyles.

Louisa uses a holistic approach to dietetics and is interested in how sleep, stress and other factors in our environments impact our food choices.

Louisa does not believe that there is a one-size-fits-all answer to health and nutrition and prefers to work closely with clients to create tailored plans for the individual. She loves to cook, eat and talk about food and brings this passion to her job everyday.

Louisa currently consults at our Brisbane City, Taigum, Coorparoo and Carindale Clinics.

Megan Gracey – Dietitian

BHlthSc (Nut & Diet), APD, AN

Megan aims to empower her clients with tailored nutrition therapy and food literacy to transform health and prevent disease. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the Queensland University of Technology, Megan has experience in a wide range of nutrition areas such as weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, irritable bowel syndrome, malnutrition and sports nutrition.

She has developed extensive knowledge in meal preparation and planning and uses this to personalise practical food-based strategies for her clients. Megan adopts a balanced and positive approach to health and wellness. She enjoys her weekly meal prep and game of water polo as much as she loves indulging in her favourite chocolate. She is passionate about supporting her clients find a healthy and happy relationship with food and is committed to seeing them reach their goals.

In her personal time, you will find Megan playing water polo or in the gym, trying out new recipes in the kitchen or dining out with family and friends.

Megan believes that life is all about balance and takes this approach with all of her patients to ensure life long, sustainable changes.

Bec Philipp – Dietitian & Sports Dietitian

BHlthSc (Nut & Diet), APD, AN

Bec Philipp is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a passion for health and fitness. Bec completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Queensland University of Technology and has worked in a private practice setting offering client centred care to a wide range of clients, from those managing chronic health condition through to junior and senior athletes.

Bec believes that dietary changes should always be sustainable, nutritionally complete and enjoyable. In addition to helping her clients understand what to eat, Bec also likes to incorporate mindful eating principles into her practice.  She is passionate about helping her clients develop a healthy relationship with food and sees each meal as an opportunity for self-care.

Bec’s interests includes management of weight concerns, heart disease, gastrointestinal conditions and sports nutrition.

Bec is a Provisional Sports Dietitian as well as a Level 1 Anthropometrist and specialises in eating for body composition manipulation and fuelling strategies for optimum recovery and performance. As a marathon runner and former Ironman triathlete herself, Bec has a keen interest in working with endurance, team sport and junior athletes.

Bec is a warm and compassionate dietitian who enjoys working with people from all walks of life to help them reach their health and sporting goals.
